    A Management Guide to Managing 21st Century Marketing

She is a strong advocate for understanding the key business function of marketing and the role it plays in organizational success.     AIEA Roundtable

    The profile of an interim executive is changing as the professionalism of interim management is rising as a legitimate career choice. Groups like the AIEA which provide networking events and face to face interactions are seen by many as among the most successful ways to secure Gigs in the interim economy.

    The November networking event is intended to be a forum for members and guests to provide suggestions and feedback which will assist the AIEA to consider how to best serve the interests of members in the future. All suggestions and thoughts will be gratefully accepted and will help set our program for the next 12 months.

    With many people choosing a different way of working in the next phase of their careers, AIEA is looking to assist members ensure sustainability and longevity.

    AIEA Maven Lunch

    Mal Walker FAIEA will host an Advisory Group lunch where the future directions of AIEA will be examined and set.

    The attendees of this periodic meeting are senior members (CAIEA and FAIEA) only. The purpose is to examine the workings and offerings of AIEA from a member's perspective and to create policy for the provision of services to the AIEA membership.

    To achieve an effective working environment, the attendance will be limited to the first six bookings.

    A working paper will be circulated to the attendees prior to the lunch.

    The Garden Room (1 Parkland Boulevard) is in Roma Street Parkland and is easy to find on Google Maps. Directions are:

    • Car access to Parkland Boulevard is at the junction of Gregory Terrace & Wickham Terrace or from Roma St, next to the Hotel Jen (currently being demolished for the Cross-River Rail project).

    • Metered car parking on weekdays is usually plentiful in Parkland Boulevard and there is also a public car park in Parkland Crescent.

    • It is about a 50m walk from the Roma St Transit Centre; if you are coming by train or bus – take the rear exit via Platform 10, then cross the street and the Café is at the top of the escalator.

    December “Drinks After Five” 

    You are invited to a “Drinks After Five” get together at the Union University and Schools Club located at 25 Bent Street, Sydney NSW 2000. This will be a social and networking event with no formalities and no guest speaker, so mingling is the order of the day. It is a chance to socialise with other members and guests and to do some serious networking.

    Canapes, Beer, soft drinks and juice will be provided together with red and white wine from the Club’s specially selected house wine collection. If the weather is fine, the event will be held on the Club’s terrace. Otherwise, it will be held in the Library.

    Once again, you are reminded of the Club’s dress code which requires gentlemen to wear a coat and tie. Sports coats and tailored trousers are acceptable. For the ladies, suitable business attire is acceptable. Unfortunately, denim is not acceptable for either men or women.

    An invitation has been extended to those people who have been guest speakers this year, being Barry Anderson, Felicity Davidson, Ivan Oshry, Mark Toohey and our November guest speaker, Joan MacDougal. It will be a great opportunity to catch up with our guests again.

We are really looking forward to seeing you there, but if feeling pressed for time, here are some reminders why it is great to come anyway…
